Reminds me of when my youngest, 11 at the time, asked if he and some friends could dig a hole. I told them sure but it had to be in the 'play yard'. For days, we all knew where the all neighborhood children were at all times; our 'play yard' digging this hole! What was it for? They weren't sure but it came in handy when they played hide and seek in the dark! I made them put one of his dad's traffic cones (he was a police officer) inside it so some unsuspecting grown up did not fall head first into the hole which had grown to be 2 1/2 feet deep, and 5 feet wide! It slowly filled in over the years and when we moved out our son was 18 and the hole had all but disappeared :-(
Thanks for the picture, Katie ... you always amaze me!
Ah, the determination of children.
