Day # 157 - Myakka State Park

Today I spent the day at Myakka State Park with Sallie, Sara Ann Petersheim and Liz Coblentz. It was a very good day, although we didn't see much of the alligators except Fred, who rules the channel of water next to the Tour Boat ramp. The channel isn't infested with alligators as he only lets the females be in his territory. Sara Ann and Liz are avid bird watchers. There was no lack of birds, nor of wild pigs at a distance. I am going to post the rest of the pictures on Googles+.

  1. this is a really nice photo. I like seeing the three friends together. Where I live, on the central coast of California, we don't have alligators..but once in awhile there's a shark sighting. We do see lots of sea otters and other wildlife. Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
