Day # 209 - Amaryllis

It is not hard to decide which photo to post today, as Amaryllis are the only things I shot this morning. I was at the park tonight but it had that summer look and summer feel, less than ten people at the park.

Martha Hostetler knocked this morning on my door this morning because this specific Amaryllis is in full bloom this morning. Her sister who passed away six years ago had planted these bulbs and every spring they bring forth their beauty. That is one thing about Amaryllis in Florida, they stay in the ground year round and bloom year after year.

  1. What a perfect shot of this beautiful flower, Katie! It is lovely. And how wonderful for Martha to see it every year and think of her sister! A wonderful memory!!!

Many years ago, my father gave me several Peony plants that had belonged to my grandmother. She passed away in 1972, so those Peonies are so special to me, thinking of my grandmother as they flower year after year.
