Life, just ready to burst open and bloom for a season,
Then death... Everything on this earth that has life in it, is also subject to death. I don't know if flowers have an after-life but I do know the seed of Adam does.
This summer a number of Lancaster Amish people come down here to a clinic, seeking a cure for cancer. On Monday night shortly before midnight one man died and within an hour after midnight a second man dies. One Amish visitor told me tonight that for the rest of sick this is frightening... Well, it is putting a fear in the hearts' of the other patients. Are they all going to die down here? But the truth is, the two that died were sent home by their doctors up north because there was nothing more they could do for a cure.
