Year 2, Day # 2 - Returns at Yoder's Market

This afternoon I went to Yoder's Fresh Market to but a few vegetables for a salad. while at the counter checking out another couple walked up. I thought they were going to pay for their purchases, but instead they wanted a refund for this Pineapple. I dashed around the counter and shot a picture of this neat looking pineapple as soon as the couple turned their backs and walked away.

  1. A refund?? For an eaten pineapple?? I wonder if they bring their bones to the butcher and want a refund on their steak? That kind of makes me in the mood to eat some pineapple though, I must say. :)

  2. The cashier was just floored but the customer is always right, which includes you and me.

  3. You are kidding?!?! I figured they were just playing a joke on the cashier, but you mean they were 'for real'? Did they think it wasn't ripe enough? The outside looks too green and appears it needed to sit for a few days. On a side note, I like your 'antiquey' looking pictures, whatever you call it that you do to 'em, but I do kinda miss the bright, crisp ones. :)

  4. Golly, I'm glad to see you back for another year. You can't imagine the joy I've gained from your daily photos. I've just received the National Geographic book on photography, in a meager attempt to learn to take pictures just half as interesting as yours. I have some food photos, but thought they were boring. Seeing this, well, maybe not! Thanks once more, Katie!
