I love Spanish Moss. Today I sat here for the longest time. I know deep down I am a back woodsy girl. I used to take walks in the woods, sometimes I had a sister or so with me, other times I went alone. There is a quietness and a calmness in the woods.
In the summer months when Pinecraft is a Ghost Town this spot is where I bike to every now and then. We have woods in the Pinecraft Park but I won't go there.
I have always loved spanish moss as well. We put up a huge steel cow barn outside of sarasota about 30 minutes so we stayed in Pinecraft. I remember driving in that lane between huge rows of trees covered in thick swaths of spanish moss. I would imagine I was in some enchanted forest for a just a few moments until I would pop over the rise and there would be an old junky trailer house. But between the road and that trailer house it was pure magic.
