Today was the first time I saw a pelican in the Phillippi Creek at the Pinecraft park. It was bobbing along against the current and yet with the current. The creek was high, plus a strong south wind was pushing the water upstream and this pelican was going down stream. It looks like he gave up and went on shore. I was within 12 feet when I took this shot.
