I was out biking this afternoon and came upon this little dead opossum. He obviously wasn't dead for any length of time yet as he didn't smell and had only about one or two flies crawling on him. Last week Erma had a opossum on the front door one evening and the next evening a smaller one at her back door. I read some interesting facts about opossums online and they actually serve a good purpose. They eat Roaches and serve the and purpose Turkey Vultures do in keeping the neighborhood clean by eating dead stuff. I don't know how this one met its fate and it wasn't around our neighborhood.
