Sam is a frugal man. It is a way of life for most people his age. He takes care of the Shuffleboards during the winter months. This means sweeping up the sand or whatever is put on the boards to make the pugs slide easily, plus the waxing and whatever else is involved, so the shufflers can shuffle. This morning he is sifting the sand he swept up, which will be reused for future games. Why waste when you can save?
